TMF/Match List

If your business is added to the Terminated Merchant File (TMF) or MATCH list, all hope is not lost. Many have been in your shoes, and there is always a remedy to get off the list. High and frequent chargebacks is a quick way to find yourself on the MATCH list and by far the most common. Other causes can be due to fraudulent actions, and more serious events such as money laundering.

So how do you approach the situation once you’ve been put on the list? To get yourself removed from the list you would need to meet with the bank who added you to the list initially. Once all of the pre existing chargebacks have been resolved and no new ones created, your chances of removal are a possibility.

In other situations you will find yourself unable to be removed from the list. There are still potential merchant options for you at this time.
